Roscommon County Council has developed a series of ‘green cleaning’ videos for householders, called ‘Green Cleaning Life Hacks’.
These are supported by a series of recipes for the greener cleaning products that are used in the videos.
The aim of the short videos is to support those householders who want to clean their homes in a more environmental way. The videos show quick and easy ways that you can clean your home and make it look good, while at the same time avoiding hazardous materials and products and preventing hazardous waste.
The five videos feature Michelle Fallon, from Roscommon. Michelle is (in her own words) a compulsive homemaker, crafter, upcycler, DIY’er and all round craftaholic. She makes dolls and home accessories using applique and embroidery techniques and she upcycles many different ‘used’ products and materials. She also runs creative workshops from her cottage.
Michelle blogs and writes articles, and her details are available at: www.michellemadethis.com
The green cleaning recipes are available on Roscommon County Council’s website here.
