Building on the success of Kilkenny’s Repair Directory Monaghan County Council has undertaken a feasibility study on developing a Repair App for Android phone. This App would give full details of repair and reuse options and facilities for householders in the region.
The feasibility has looked at the following:
- Costs of building app.
- Cost of maintaining app and the database.
- Market research into need for such an app.
- Any international similar projects for comparison purposes.
The study aims to provide a framework for the LAPN Network to discuss the merits of such a project and provide a framework for developing such as App an a National project for the Network.
This App could have major potential in this sphere and a report will be issued in due coure.
