Mayo County Council has distributed free reusable water bottles to all secondary schools in the county.
The schools reserved a new bottle for every student commencing first year in September 2015.
Bottles were distributed to 19 secondary schools and also to local cycling club and a local Foróige group.
The aim of the programme is to promote reuse among young people in the county and to prevent waste and the quick discarding of plastic bottles.
