Kilkenny Local Authorities presented a Household Waste Prevention Seminar in partnership with Thomastown & Inistioge Tidy Towns as part of Repak Recycling Week 2012 on October 6th, 2012.
The Sustainable Living Seminar took place in Thomastown Community Centre and was well attended.
Subjects covered included
- A stop food waste presentation,
- Advice and assistance on home composting and how to deal with Autumn/Winter leaves
- Advice on how to prevent hazardous waste, using the Householders Guide to Hazardous Waste Prevention booklet produced by Limerick Clare Kerry RWMO
- Support on how to increase recycling and reduce household costs by being greener
