Roscommon County Council Environment Department has implemented an environmental awareness raising programme within the local authority.
A specially commissioned logo and brand was developed for the scheme: Greener Together.
At the end of 2015 all Roscommon County Offices were relocated to a new building.
This presented with the ideal opportunity to introduce an environmental awareness campaign.
The campaign focused on:
- Recycling and Composting
- Paper Prevention
- Smarter Travel
- Energy Efficiency
- Eco –Driving
As there are so many elements to the staff awareness campaign it was determined that a campaign branding was essential to draw all elements together as Roscommon County Council will be working with different partners for each element for the campaign and this campaign log will provide continuity.
A Green Team was formed and all bins are being rebranded with vinyl stickers and canteen cards. Poster are being distributed to improve recycling and composting rates which all feature the Greener Together logo.
