Longford County Council developed a Repair & Reuse directory for the county. The Directory was promoted, launched, and disseminated through Tidy Towns and community groups in the county. In terms of ‘repair’, the directory includes businesses from across Longford involved in repair of everything from clothes to vintage tractors. On the reuse side, various charity shops in the county are listed, as well as details of all of the Men’s Sheds in operation in county Longford.
The feedback from participants has been very positive, some even saying their business has increased since taking part.
In addition, the Council has also encouraged local companies and individuals to sign up to the national online directory on the repairmystuff.ie website.
