Repairmystuff.ie – Ireland’s online repair directory
Prevention for Local AuthoritiesMonaghan County Council has been working with County Councils from Galway, Kilkenny, Limerick, Meath, South Dublin, and Wicklow to develop an online Repair Directory – repairmystuff.ie.
Categories for repair that can be searched in the online directory are:
- Clothes & bags
- Monitors, TVs and displays
- Electronic
- Fitness & sports
- Furniture & upholstery
- Large appliances
- Small appliances
- Lawnmowers & garden machinery
- Leather & shoe
- Musical instruments
- Watches and jewellery
- Other
The benefits of an online version include: access from smartphones, tablets etc.; searchability; immediate access – email or phone; ease of updating; environmentally friendly (no printing); and ease for outlets to sign up.
This follows on from the success of the Kilkenny Repair Directory developed in 2015 and which has been replicated on paper in other counties.
