Greening Local Events in Carlow

Carlow County Council has set up a green event programme for Carlow Arts Festival and Scare Fest. The Council started with greening the St Patrick’s Day 2-day festival in Carlow, with segregated bins for the first time for the festival, along with volunteers from County Carlow Environmental Network acting as ‘bin angels’.

The initial work for the Carlow Arts Festival and Scare Fest is to introduce the segregation of waste into the 3 main waste streams as well as introduce and promote Refill.ie and the Conscious Cup Campaign.
