Promote cycling locally

national bike weekPromote cycling in schools & with local employers. Make people, both employers and employees, aware of the bike to work scheme.

Prepare an on-line map of local cycling routes; campaign for cycling lanes and cycle stands in appropriate places.

Hold local biking events; try holding one for bike week – usually in June.

Why not get involved in National Bike Week, see what  Abbeyleix did by clicking here.

Ask a local bike-shop or bike enthusiast to host a bike repair and maintenance workshop. See if your local authority has a cycling or road safety officer. Talk to Green Schools to promote cycling in local schools. Involve local cycling clubs.

Why not set up bicycle stankds to promote cycling, like Ennis did.
