The enviromental impact of leisure and events is becoming more and more topical. Many performers such as rock stars are greening their events and major sites such as Croke Park are also reducing carbon footprints.
The Limerick Clare Kerry Regional Waste Management Office is running a project focusing mainly on ‘Event’ management.
The target of each of the four LCK RWMO constituents is as follows:
Clare County Council - Cliffs of Moher Visitor’s Centre (Poster with more information)

Cavan County Council is also working with two lesiure centres to reduce their waste, and also ‘greening’ the Fleadh Cheoil 2010 which is being held in Cavan town. Poster with more information.
