Several local authorities in the LAPN are working with businesses, especially SME, in their regions, to reduce their environmental impacts.
Carlow County Council and Kilkenny County Council have worked with Monaghan County Council to provide training to pubs in their regions.
Cork County Council is developing a business based initiative (modelled loosely on the Macroom-e project) to be undertaken in South-East Cork. This will be carried out in partnership with the South East Cork Area Development Agency (SECAD). The initial focus will be on food waste. Poster with further information.
Galway County Council and Galway City Council are also developing a business based initiative to be undertaken in conjunction with Tuam Chamber of Commerce in Tuam.
Monaghan County Council is extending its LAPD farm initiative to include hazardous waste issues.
