Green Business Seminar Ballinasloe

Galway County Council in conjunction with Ballinasloe Enterprise Centre organised a Green Business Seminar in Ballinasloe on June 20th 2013.  .

The Ballinasloe Green Business Programme  is a free and confidential resource efficiency programme for all types of SMEs in the Ballinasloe Area including the retail, hospitality, education, health care and manufacturing sectors.

The key goals of the programme was to assist businesses become more aware of resource efficiency in business through  assisting business implement resource efficiency and cost savings, through on-site waste prevention, water conservation and energy conservation activities.

Presentations were delivered by:

  • Green Business Programme,  Sinéad Ní Mhainnín, Galway County Council
  • Energy Awareness in Business, Paula Gallagher, Tipperary Energy Agency
  • SME Examples in Practice, Liam Tolton, Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland

The event was well attended with a high level of interest in resource efficiency.  Businesses from the retail and hospitality sectors are participating in the Green Business programme as a result.
