Galway Local Authorities with Stop Food Waste organised a Food Waste Prevention information display at the Galway Food Festival during Easter 2013.
The aim of the demonstration was to assist householders become more aware of waste prevention, food waste and home composting. There was great interest in the demonstration with over 1500 people attending the festival.
Enthusiastic personnel were available to give advice on a wide range of environmental topics throughout the event.
Interviews were given on Radio na Gaeltachta and Galway Bay FM to further promote waste prevention and food waste prevention in the home as part of the event.
