A Household Hazardous Waste Prevention event was organised in association with the Athenry Womens Group group on 4 March 2014. Over 30 ladies attended the event which covered areas such as food waste prevention; home composting and general good environmental practices.
The aim of the event was to raise awareness of hazardous waste and chemicals in the home and to promote environmentally friendly alternatives.
The event was held on 4th March 2014 and over 30 ladies attended.
