County_Limerick_Council-150x150Limerick County Council has worked closely with the Limerick Clare Kerry Regional Waste Management Office (LCK RWMO) – Pauline McDonogh is the contact person for both organisations. In 2013 RWMO has been superceded by the Southern Regional Waste Management Office http://www.managewaste.ie/ .

Several projects for LAPN have been carried out by Limerick County Council and LCK RWMO. And many materials and products to promote waste prevention have been produced and distributed in the region.

Events and locations have been greened in the region, including Adare to Survive, the Limerick Show and Knights of West Fest, Newcastle West. More information here.

A best management practice guide using compost for sport pitch renovation has been produced by Limerick County Council and LCK RWMO. More information here.

Limerick County Council has engaged with many businesses, communities and events in the region and has been active in promoting food waste prevention.
