Carlow County Council and Kilkenny County Councils are focusing on In-house activities and small businesses as the main the main activities in LAPN. In particular, hazardous waste arisings and management by the Local Authorities is an important in-house project. Several pubs in each county have received training from Monaghan personnel. Cavan County Council

Cavan County Council’s project focuses on In-house activities, Leisure Centres, and small business.
Two leisure centres, two area offices, a meat processor and a chocolate factory have undergone initial assessments and visits. Cavan County Council are also going to ‘green’ the Fleadh Cheoil 2010 which is being held in Cavan town. Click here to see a poster with more information.

Cork County Council

Cork County Council are creating a business based initiative (modelled loosely on the Macroom-e project) which will be undertaken in South-East Cork. Galway City/County Councils
Galway City and County Councils are involved in a range of in-house activities, coupled with a further roll-out of the successful LAPD business initiative. A Business based initiative will also be undertaken in conjunction with Tuam Chamber of Commerce in Tuam.

Monaghan County Council

Monaghan’s programme of work in LAPN will be a continuation of the previously successful LAPD programme with businesses and in-house activities. The previous farming initiative has been extended to examine hazardous waste arisings from farms.
